An Ordinary Day

Well, life goes on. I'm enjoying having Mommy and Daddy at my beck and call while I still can. While they're not REALLY clear on when the 'grace' period ends and I'm old enough to know better, I know it's coming...

In the meantime, keep the camera coming - I love posing for it!

In my downtime, between mastering the art of pooping and other such baby necessities, I've become quite the thumb connoisseur - yes, this thumb has a lovely bouquet with just a hint of fruitiness....



Here I am playing with the cats - okay, I'm playing with my toys, and they're sleeping, but one day I'll crawl, and then they won't be able to get away - MUAHAHA!

Missing Mommy (or Extra Time with Daddy)

Tuesday morning, Mommy and I headed out in the dreary weather to go to Kid's Ministry Prayer time. On the way, Mommy was attacked by evil pain, and had some "episodes" at Kate's house. Daddy came to the rescue and took Mommy and I to the E.R. at Riddle Hospital. I enjoyed the outing and playing with my toys while Mommy writhed on the floor in pain - literally - she had no shame. Finally, the doctors gave her medicine, and Daddy and I went on our way. But then, I didn't get to see Mommy until Wednesday afternoon, and a nurse shooed us out (probably a wise decision). Then I got to hang out with Bridget and Bruce for awhile, and then finally Mommy came home Wednesday night. I'm told she had a kidney stone - doesn't sound very interesting, but at least Mommy was in good spirits. She came in to give me a good night kiss - I woke up a little bit and smiled at her. I'm a big girl now - hangin' out with other people - growing up so fast.

Here's a picture of me modeling a sweater that belonged to Mommy when she was a baby. I got some groovy 70's clothes(that belonged to Mommy), compliments of Granny - hopefully my cloth diaper booty won't make it so I can't fit in them!





Here's a picture of my pal Cora and I playing. We enjoyed trying to pull each others hair, trying to swipe boogers, and chatting it up with such syllables as "mama" and "dada". Cora's got some fancy moves - like crawling and standing up - I was taking notes so I could practice later.

A New First

Today I ran some errands with Mommy and Daddy. I rode in a shopping cart for the first time! Here I am window shopping cloth diaper products at Babies R' Us (note, not a lot in that department there)...





Daddy and I are playing airplane, our new favorite game (don't worry grandparents, Daddy has a good hold of me)
