Ridley Creek

Today, Bridget, Bruce, Mommy and I went for a 5 mile hike at Ridley Creek State Park. It was so beautiful. I screamed a lot of the time. Turns out I've got a molar cutting through. Once Mommy got with the prgoram, she gave me some Orajel, and that helped a lot.

For awhile, only Mommy's water bottle made me happy.

Me and Mommy after lunch.

I enjoyed swinging after lunch.

The ride home - this accurately depicts how Mommy felt too. In fact, she may never move again.

The Zoo

Jess and Grace took Mommy and I to the zoo. It was lots of fun. When I would see an animal, I would point at it, wave at it, and say "baby". Mommy was overwhelmed with my cuteness.

I'm not pointing at the trash can, but at the monkey cage just in front of me.

What a position

Here I am with Liam at the Crawfords going away BBQ. Yes, we both look weird, and you'll notice Liam is actually saying "cheese" - but it's one for the memory books.

The other day, Mommy took me to the park for more swingin'. As I swung back and forth, gleefully, the wind blowing in my hair, my legs kicking in exultation of the beautiful day, Mommy had a little glimpse of me as an older kid. Sniff sniff. It was a great yet bittersweet moment.

Unfettered Joy

Mommy and Daddy also took me on the slide - the tube kind that's partially covered. Daddy would take me to the top, and set me loose, and Mommy would catch me at the bottom. She put up a brave front so as not to scare me, but each time I went down the slide, her heart fell into her toes a bit. But I had a blast!

New Pictures

Here I am eating at the table with Mommy and Daddy.

Mm...organic peanut butter...gooey-licious

Me and my Daddy

I love reading books. I like to pick one out and bring it to Mommy/Daddy to read to me. My particular favorite is my bath book of Peter Rabbit. I like to read this a hundred times a day. Literally. Mommy will now quote the book from memory so that we can all share in the joy of learning together.

"Wriggly Rabbit. Crunch Munch. Oh no. Helter Skelter. Splish Splash. Shh Shh. Hurry Scurry. Huff Puff. The End."

You'll have to fill in the plot details yourself.

Update

I had my evaluation with the physical therapist last week. Even though I've got great skills in many areas, it was determined that I do need help with my gross motor skills. So... in the next couple of weeks, I'll be starting physical therapy 1x/week. No sweat - they come to the house, it's free, it can only help.... might as well take advantage of the service.

In other news, I'm pulling up a lot more. I'm also getting into more stuff, and some of the barriers that Mommy had devised to keep me out of certain things are no longer working. Muahaha!

Some sad news - this was the Crawfords last Sunday at church. I've enjoyed my friend Cora, and wish her well in Columbus. Maybe someday we'll see each other again :)

Gettin' Skills

Here I am riding my scooter. Granny's been helping me out. Notice how I can balance by myself!

Mmm...

I love black beans. Also, these veggie potato chip/french fry things are really good. In other news, I can drink from a sippy cup while sitting up - all by myself. Woohoo! It's a whole new world - sippy cup in the shopping car, sippy cup in the car seat, sippy cup while I'm playing at home. Good stuff.

I also like to smear the black bean juiciness on my face.

This picture can have one of two captions...

Nobody puts baby in a box. (haha..instead of a corner...)

and the 2nd is...

Willow is packaging herself up to go visit her grandparents - she's tired of waiting.

but the real fun was Daddy pulling me around in this like I was driving a car.

Pictures

Here's some pics for my grandparents... so demanding to see my cuteness!

Me and Cora from my birthday.

Me and Bruce at our weekly date (this week). You can also find this cute pic on Bruce's blog. I know I look immense (or he looks tiny), but we'll even out by the time we're old enough to care. :)

Shelly took this at church when I was dedicated.
