I had my yearly checkup today. I'm still holding steady around 25 lbs., so that's good. Mom forgot to find out my length - but rest assured I'm longer than I was before. My head is still growing - still off the charts. The Dr. said she would be worried about it, but since I already had a cat-scan, she's not worried. And even though it's off the charts, it's still growing in a nice curve as if it were on the chart... so that's good. The Dr. said I was healthy and adorable. However, she is of the opinion that I should be doing a lot of things I'm not doing - i.e. pulling into a standing position, other gross motor skill type things (my fine motor skills are excellent thank you very much), so I get to have an evaluation by a physical therapist. They haven't gotten back to Mom yet, so there will be more updates as we know them. Fun times!
*update*
Daddy measured me this evening - I'm approximately 30 1/2 inches long.

Finally!
For 12 long months, I (Ashlie) have labored over the taking of pictures each month - and not just any picture, but an attempt at a formal pose best representing what Willow looked like at that age. As time has gone by, this task has become more difficult as Willow moves faster and faster. Finally, we reached the 12 month mark... My dream has been achieved.

Steve helped with the cutting of the mat and the framing part (also the general raising of the baby, and some assistance with the picture taking). I've set a dangerous precedent for any future children we may have. Oy.

Baby Dedication
This Sunday, a group of babies (myself included) were dedicated at church.
Here I am in the beautiful dress that Paka and Grammy gave me for my birthday.

Here we are standing in front of the church - I'm between Baby Jakin and Baby Grace.

Tim and Melissa pray for me. Extra kudos to Tim for overcoming the fact that I'm a baby. :) (I guess that would be something like "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me") haha

Here I am at the luncheon afterwards. Shelly and Susan were two of our special guests (Kristine also, not pictured).

Birthday Extravaganza
First, here is a picture from my actual birthday (yesterday). I love my Daddy.

Now here's a bunch of pictures from my "party" this morning. "Party" here means a gathering of adults and small children in which the adults are running after small children and/or sitting around feeling exhausted from aforementioned running while the small children take great glee in doing whatever they want. :) Thanks to my friends for coming, and for the presents too! Enjoy the pictures.

Birthdays are great
Uncle Mike got me this awesome rocking horse. It sings songs, moves it's mouth, and makes horse sounds. Too cool! I love to dance while it sings "I'm a pretty horsey, clippity clop, clippety clop, Such a pretty horsey, clippety clop, clippety clop" and I don't get tired of it. Ever. Thanks Uncle Mike!

Snow Days
Mommy had me try on my snow suit (courtesy of a nice girl named Molly I've never met) - Not only is it from L.L. Bean, it's also PURPLE! Yay! I do seem to have a problem with the whole moving thing while wearing it though.

Today the snow started. If you look closely, you can see the big flakes outside.

A visit from Grammy and Paka
Paka and Grammy visited this last week. They brought me lots of birthday gifts!

Here's one of many outfits they gave me.

We went to eat at a nice restaurant. Sweet Lord, there's a rat on the table! Oh, it's just Reepicheep.

What a great time - I'll get to see them again pretty soon. Thanks for visiting!

Guest Appearance
Check out Bruce's blog for a cute picture of me in a swing. I went to the park again today with Mommy and Daddy, but of course they forgot the camera. I LOVE swinging. It makes me smile and laugh out loud.
