New and exciting happenings for which I don't have pictures...

I got to see Grammy this Thanksgiving. I wasn't my cutest and most adorable self since I was apparently cutting a tooth. But at least we got a couple of pictures where I'm not being ornery!





I didn't get to see Paka this time, but we did video conference with him, so at least he got to see me.

Here I am in my new coat - We went to every stinkin' store in Delaware County that sold kid's clothes. You wouldn't believe the prices that are out there! Mommy found this one at Children's Place - 1/2 off because of the color. Who cares! It's adorable, and keeps me warm and toasty.

Gettin' Scanned

I got Mommy up at 5am today. Here I am playing and having fun - this is the festive onesie Mommy got me for today.



Here I am with Mommy in the waiting room. Auntie Bridget and Bruce came along for moral support.



Here I am with the nurse. I liked her a lot - she let me eat her stethoscope.



And now here I am, fully sedated, and ready for the cat-scan.



I was really well behaved the whole time - Mommy was very proud of me. Mommy was brave too - but I think she was too tired to be worried. I was grumpy when they woke me up, but I'm feeling much better now. We'll find out the results later today or tomorrow - Mommy will post when we know more.

Hey Mommy! Daddy and I were watching TV.



Now leave us alone... we're watching The Simpsons.

Dr. Visit

Today I went to the Dr. for my 9-month well visit. Mommy likes the Dr. I saw today, and will be requesting her in the future. I wouldn't say I was particularly brave though. When the Dr. started using her stethoscope on my chest, I FREAKED out. Mommy's not sure why. As she pointed out, this wasn't even the part that hurt. I actually did much better with my shots this time. I got the flu vaccine today (very exciting), and a toe prick for a hemoglobin test - and no, I'm not anemic.

Here's my stats...

23 lbs. (with the cloth diaper on)
29 1/4" long
95% for both - nice and proportional!

The Dr. thought I looked very healthy and is pleased with my development so far. She assured Mommy that I'm not eating too much :)

The only downside, if you want to call it that, is that the Dr. is a little concerned at how much my head grew in proportion to the rest of me since the last visit. SO... I have to go next Tuesday for a head cat-scan...or CT as they write in the biz. The Dr. kept assuring that there was no need to worry - and Mommy believes in the better safe than sorry theory... so Mommy's doing okay with this. However, when I heard I wouldn't be able to eat or drink that morning for 6 hrs before, I started having 2nd thoughts. I don't know about that. I'm already grumpy at 5am... imagine me without food or milk!

We'll all survive though...

Sorry no pictures - this was the first visit that Daddy couldn't go with us, so Mommy had her hands full with important things like not letting me fall off the exam table. I know, details, details.

9 Months Old

I had an opportunity to spend some extra time with Daddy before his new job started. How exciting!

Feeding Myself

Well, the jury's still out on cottage cheese. I'm not sure what Mommy is thinking with that one. Ugh! After dinner today, she gave me a "biter bisquit" - this is the first thing I've held by myself and then put in my mouth, and then ate it.



of course, then Mommy wisened up and put the bib on me. Duh...

My Evil Plan

I'm such a cute baby that Mommy and Daddy find it hard to be frustrated with me when I'm especially ornery. I put this to the test last night - normally, I sleep very well all night long, but last night, I was awake from before 2am till sometime around 3:30 am. I wasn't content to play quietly in my crib - no, I made lots of noises - the moaning kind of noises somewhere between cooing and crying. The kind Mommy finds annoying. Muahaha!



As a result, I've been napping very well today, but at times when Mommy can't nap too. Muahaha!



Although Daddy somewhat thwarted my plan by playing with me this morning and letting Mommy sleep in a little. Hmmm... I'll have to figure out some way to get back at him. I'm thinking a super poo might be in order. Muahaha!

I also wanted to give a shout-out to Paka who's on his way to Egypt right now. Fun times! I'm working on the cute looks so when I'm older he'll want to take me :)

I know it's been awhile since I last shared my baby thoughts with you - but never fear, here's the latest installment in Willow-Land.

I really like the cats - I like to watch them, and I REALLY like to touch them... well, it would be more appropriate to say I like to pull at their hair. Mommy or Daddy always supervises, so don't worry - plus, the cats are totally into me. They may not know it, but trust me, they are.

Here's a picture that proves that Afton loves Mommy. I like to think I've had a good influence on Afton. Before I came along, he didn't do this kind of thing.
