Activities

Right now I'm really into preparing "food" for Mommy, baby dolls, etc... and serving it.

Here is today's delicacy...

No matter how many times I prepare this "food" for Mommy and bring it over, I insist that she enjoy it fully, and I will not take "i'm full" for an answer! Muahaha!

Heat Wave

So there is a bonus to the insufferable humidity we've had the last few days... my hair gets really curly and cute.

:)

Mommy's trying to find any positives she can...

In other news, I've had my first popsicle - like actual popsicle on a stick - super tasty! (sugar free from aldi - also super cheap - Mommy's an addict) I have to strip down and eat it on the porch, but that seems to me how one should eat a popsicle.

I had a great weekend - Daddy had a long weekend, so I got to spend lots of time with him. Daddy's like an amusement ride compared to Mommy :) haha.

Mommy's got this mole on her stomach, and she keeps pointing to her stomach and talking about baby Rose... so right now it seems like I think her mole is baby Rose. I'm not sure what's so exciting about that, but whatever (better than when her gross belly button seemed to be baby Rose).

Pics

Here I am earlier last week with Grace - I enjoy playing with her a lot. The picture's not the greatest quality, but you get the idea.

And here I am at home - I like to say "cheese" when I have my picture taken. Mommy didn't teach me to do this - she's not sure where I picked it up from.

Like any fashionable young woman, I must carry at least 2 purses.

Now that big black ant season is upon us, I've discovered them. Not so much fun. Mommy's going to try to teach me to step on them. We'll see how that goes. I was barefoot today in the kitchen when I encountered them, so no lesson yet. Even Mommy doesn't like squishing them in bare feet. Ewww.

Pictures

Per Bruce's request, here are some pics of me from this morning. Yes, Mommy knows she's been a slacker...

BUT - in her defense - she has tried to take some playground pics of me, but there's something going on with the camera that she hasn't figured out yet that only applies to outside pics...bla bla bla...

Language

I'm really talking a lot now. I love carrying on 10 minute conversations, replete with hand gestures and all... but most of the time no one knows what I'm saying. I'm also really into brand identification now. For example:

if we drive by a dunkin' donuts, it's "tie eee" - which Mommy knows to mean "yes, that's where Skye eats" b/c on a few occasions of Abby taking us to playgroup, we would go thru dunkin' donuts. So every dunkin' donuts that we pass we have to discuss this. And there are a lot of dunkin' donuts here.

if we drive by a Wawa, it's "daddy wawa" b/c that's where daddy goes to buy (ahem) things that I don't know about yet as well as our Sunday morning stop at Wawa for breakfast on the way to church. And there are a lot of Wawas here.

If we drive by a mcd's or wendy's, it's just a "eee" b/c on occasion, I get to eat there. Oftentimes, Mommy can say "no we're not eating", and I'm ok. Other times I really think I need to eat there, and can't understand why Mommy doesn't agree.

If we are remotely in the vicinity of Babies r Us, I say "babies us" (once I said the whole thing). In fact, when I was at home and saw a babies r us bag, I recognized it, and said "babies us" to Mommy. She was impressed.

I also like to point out Aldi when we drive by it. I say that very distinctly. Go me.

As referenced on Mommy's blog, I like to repeatedly talk about what I've done during the day throughout the day. This is fine for Mommy, except that I require a response from her EVERY time. So by the 500th "bye bye tie" (meaning are we going bye bye with Skye, or remember that time we went bye bye with skye), Mommy's a little tired of it.

ESPECIALLY with the bye bye tie thing - b/c seriuosly, it's been almost 3 weeks since I've been in a car with Skye, but still I'm talking about it.

Those are the main things that come to mind right now - I'm saying so much it's hard to remember it all, but hopefully this gives you a little taste of how fabulous I am. Maybe I'll grow up and go into marketing or something.

Last night I got to go to a cookout at Abby's house. How exciting! After talking about Skye, Gabriel, and Abby EVERY SINGLE DAY it was nice to spend a little time with them. There were a lot of people there I didn't know very well, so I spent a lot of time being shy and clinging to Daddy - that's fine - at least I was well behaved. As the evening wore on however, I began to come out of my shell. I really took to one lady (who I've never talked to I think) and was all about her entertaining me. Luckily, she was very nice and did so. And, despite only being at Abby's house one other time in my short life a year ago, I very easily made myself at home, and had no need for Mommy or Daddy. Too much circulating to do!

When it was time to go, Daddy and I made the rounds. Everyone said goodbye to me (as a crowd), so I said "Bye bye People"... HAHAHA. At least I didn't say bye bye MY people... Getting a little Eva Peron complex going there.

And even though I was a super stinker before we had gotten there, Mommy and Daddy were very pleased with how nice I was at the party...

Boys

Lately, Gabriel has been my amor de jour. However, today I remembered Bruce all on my own, and have been asking for him. Alas, I cannot comprehend that he lives in another state now.

Words

So yesterday, I was really into saying the following names...

Abby (of course...every single day, it's abby bye bye)
Tie - for Skye
Fwafwa - for Gabriel
Marti
Jess

With the words that I already say, my speech is getting much clearer.

Last night, Mommy asked me to come say hi to baby Rose, so I got on her lap and kissed her stomach. How cute! That's the closest I've come to understanding that baby Rose is not in MY stomach. And I'm not sure what this whole baby Rose thing is about anyway, but it was a nice little Hallmark moment.
