Studying the Scriptures
You know, my communication skills are really improving. I've really been working on the "k" sound this week, and now I can say "daka" instead of "dada" - we're getting there paka!
Most of the time though, I still need a translator - aka Mommy and sometimes Daddy...
So on Sunday, as Mommy was helping me up the stairs after sunday school, I was telling her all about the toys in my class. She asked me if I learned about Jesus.
My reply "Jesus More Eat"
Which Mommy thought could mean a number of different things... perhaps I was saying "cheeses" - as in we ate cheese in sunday school, or perhaps it was - sure we learned about Jesus, now give me more eat.
Who knows.
Today Mommy looked at the sheet they send me home with each week - which we've *ahem* recently realized has to do with that weeks lesson in Sunday school. My parents are really gifted and talented.
Lo and behold, I learned about how the people needed more flour and oil to bake bread when Elijah came around (1 kings 17:7-16), and so God provided the flour and the oil..
hence, "jesus more eat" was actually an appropriate response for what I had heard in sunday school. Go me!

Finally
Even though the usps tracking said it arrived at their facility Wed. morning, we didn't get it till today (friday). Daddy asked the mailman about it when he brought the mail, and the mailman said "oh yeah, it's in the truck" which does mildly lead one to wonder how long it had been in the truck...
In any case, Mommy's long search for a cute AND affordable toddler quilt for my bed has finally reached its conclusion. We will not be discussing how long this took, or anything like that. Suffice it to say, Pottery Barn seems to be one of the only stores (most are online tho', and actually MORE expensive) that makes this sort of thing that isn't either super ugly or covered in cartoon characters (neither of which Mommy is into). However, Pottery Barn is ABSURDLY expensive, and even if we were super wealthy, Mommy would not spend that kind of $$ on something for a 2 yr old's bed... seriously...
Thank goodness for ebay!!! (woohoo!!!)

Workin' Hard
It's hard work playing make-believe...

In other news, I'm TOTALLY addicted to yogurt. I suppose it's better than say, crack cocaine... but still, I pester my parents NON-STOP for more yogurt. Then, I pretend to feed my babies yogurt. And I have a lot of babies, so there's a lot of yogurt feeding going on.

Outings
Went to the mall today for mall-walking... more like mall-sitting, but I did get to walk for awhile with Mommy.
In the car on our way...

and at the mall...

After a contentious day with the toddler bed on Tuesday, Mommy and Daddy just shut my door now. That seems to help. I guess the temptation to get out of my room to see what was going on was too great for me. But still lovin' my new bed!

The Zoo
We went to the zoo today. Matt and Stephanie joined us, but no pictures of them, sorry.
But enough of that...
I got to ride a PONY today!!! It was so much fun, and I wasn't scared at all. I held on the whole time like I was supposed to (Mommy and Daddy's biggest worry).

Here I am contemplating the big cat exhibit.

And sitting on a statue of a frog...

Pickin' Blueberries
We went to Linvilla this morning to pick blueberries. Our goal was not a vast quantity, b/c we already have some at home, but rather to give me a chance to experience nature and what not. So for $1.44, we got a great hayride and some blueberries. And now to tell my story through pictures...

By the time we got home, most of the blueberries were already gone!
After pickin' blueberries and experiencing a lot of nature, I got to see the animals at Linvilla. Mommy didn't get to see, but apparently a duck chewed on my finger when I tried to feed it. Daddy and I thought it was really funny, and Mommy was sad she didn't get to see it too. Don't worry, they washed my hands well afterwards. Here I am checking out some of the animals - meaning, the animals that were in the shade.
Mommy likes this picture b/c it looks like there's a chicken coming out of my heinie!

Toddler Bed!
Here's my new bed!!!

testing its bounciness... i approve...

it's hard to tell in the picture (b/c the frame is almost the same color as the floor), but the frame sits on locking castors - when not in use, my new bed will be stored under the guest bed in my room - hence the low design with wheels.
When Mommy gets my bed cover (of whatever sort it will be, probably from ebay), there will be more pictures.
I'm excited!!!
Hopefully not too excited that I don't sleep tonight.

Today
I had a great time with Daddy today. Mommy and Rose were off somewhere else. When I found out that Mommy was leaving this morning without me, I had a meltdown. They assured me I would also get to go "bye bye" with promises of Wawa in my future.
After breakfast, Daddy and I ran errands together. We went to Widener University, K-Mart, Wawa, Borough Hall, and the playground. When we got home, I played in the backyard while Daddy wrestled a tomato plant. We had a great time together, and Mommy was home just in time to say goodnight to me before my nap.
In other news, Mommy and Daddy are of the opinion that I can sightread the word pizza. While this may not be the best thing (that the word in question is pizza), they are excited that I have moved beyond pure brand recognition to word recognition. Go me!

Awesome!
Today we went with Gretchen and Nat to the Please Touch Museum. It was freakin' awesome! I had so much fun.
Mommy took the camera, but left it in the car. Oh well. Visit their site to see what kind of stuff I did today.

Cheese!
Here I am this morning - in a new development, I'm very willing to stop and pose for the camera - even multiple times.

and did I mention I'm TOTALLY loving the play make-up thing? TOTALLY. The first thing I said when I woke up this morning was "special treat" and then "makeup". (special treat is what we call it when it's anything unusual - a special gift, toy, or food treat. as a result, i like to say "special treat" a lot!)

Today
We went up to B-town today to see my great-aunt. I had a nice time. Here I am being very sweet with Rose.

When I got home, I had a special treat via friends from afar - kids makeup! Wow. I'm having A LOT of fun with that right now. Mommy and Daddy are not stressing out about mess or anything...so far :) Hehe.
Here I am being cute today - and notice the fabulous hair too. Mommy's particularly pleased with how my hair turned out today, although in all fairness, the bow in my hair is actually a clip, and she had nothing to do with it.

Go me
I just need to take a moment to brag on myself. I'm such a good big sister to Rose. I sing to her, hold her hand, gently rub her head when she's upset, and assist Mommy in various ways...like bringing her burp rags, alerting her when a spit-up has occurred, throwing away poop diapers.
In other news, we were driving the other day, and all of a sudden, I was saying "pizza". Mommy finally realized I was pointing at a Papa John's, which I've never eaten at, and identifying it as a pizza place. Wow. I'm really great at this identify EVERY food place in our county thing. :)
My stair skills are super awesome now. I can do our front steps just holding on with one hand - this helps Mommy out a lot.

Double Wow!
For a small little town, we sure put on a great fireworks display - and it's just two blocks from home.
Last night, I got to see my first real fireworks. I was literally overcome with joy and excitement. For some of the big fireworks, I had to hold Mommy's hand, but otherwise I thought it was amazing. I enjoyed looking around at all the people out there to see their reactions.
I even got a glow necklace like all the other kids that were out there, and had lots of fun with it.
I'm still talking about the pretty lights, the noise, and the people today!

Wow!
What a trip! There were so many exciting things... amongst them...
1. I pooped on the potty.
2. I rode my first carnival rides, and totally loved it (I'm so not my mom's kid). Mommy and Daddy totally thought I'd freak out once I was on the ride, but I ROCKED it out!
3. I played on the beach lots.
4. I played on the playgrounds.
5. I went on a big kid swing (instead of those baby swings).
6. I ate food - most notably, I got to have my first funnel cake (well, not the whole thing - I shared with Mommy and was much tidier than her).
7. I managed to not get sunburned (way to go fam!)
And now for some pics...
