Studying the Scriptures

You know, my communication skills are really improving. I've really been working on the "k" sound this week, and now I can say "daka" instead of "dada" - we're getting there paka!

Most of the time though, I still need a translator - aka Mommy and sometimes Daddy...

So on Sunday, as Mommy was helping me up the stairs after sunday school, I was telling her all about the toys in my class. She asked me if I learned about Jesus.

My reply "Jesus More Eat"

Which Mommy thought could mean a number of different things... perhaps I was saying "cheeses" - as in we ate cheese in sunday school, or perhaps it was - sure we learned about Jesus, now give me more eat.

Who knows.

Today Mommy looked at the sheet they send me home with each week - which we've *ahem* recently realized has to do with that weeks lesson in Sunday school. My parents are really gifted and talented.

Lo and behold, I learned about how the people needed more flour and oil to bake bread when Elijah came around (1 kings 17:7-16), and so God provided the flour and the oil..

hence, "jesus more eat" was actually an appropriate response for what I had heard in sunday school. Go me!
